Objective of the consultation

The proposed Sharing and Reuse Framework has been developed by the European Commission to promote and enhance the sharing and reuse of IT solutions by public administrations, thus fostering the collaboration among them. To this end, it provides a number of recommendations for public administrations at every governance level that, once implemented, will help overcome barriers to sharing and reusing IT solutions. In addition, the framework puts forward recommended measures for central bodies such as Member States' central or regional governments and agencies as well as EU Institutions that can support their administrations in implementing the suggested recommendations.

The objective of this public consultation is to receive the stakeholders' views on the proposed Sharing and Reuse Framework. More specifically, its aim is to verify with the interested parties whether the recommendations and recommended measures included in the framework sufficiently address barriers that prevent the sharing and reuse of IT solutions.
