The European Commission (DG REGIO) is looking for an enthusiastic city to host and co-organise the 4th edition of the CITIES FORUM.

The CITIES Forum is a biennial major event of the European Commission that brings together key stakeholders from European, national and local levels to debate the progress of the Urban Agenda for the EU, the urban dimension of the Cohesion Policy as well as the EU response to the urban dimension of the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda.

The 4th edition of the CITIES Forum will take place at the end of 2019 and will welcome 500-600 participants during 1.5 days. Cities interested in hosting and co-organising the CITIES FORUM together with the European Commission are invited to express their interest before 27 August 2018.

How to submit your interest?

Cities are invited to express their interest by filling in a form available here. The form requires the contact details of the submitter (name, email address, phone number and name of the city they are submitting for).

What are the next steps?

Cities that have expressed their interest will receive beginning of September 2018 a package to prepare and submit a proposal. This package will provide details on the support cities can offer, such as sponsoring the venue, organising local transport and site visits, etc.

Cities’ proposals will be submitted in October 2018 (the exact deadline will be communicated together with the package). The co-organising host will be selected end of November 2018.
