About the innovator

We enable people to uncover the intelligence of slime moulds, fungi and plants through hands on experimentation. Our small yet efficient and productive research team is comprised of a multidisciplinary scientist and an engineer innovator. We are open minded to customers’ wishes and provide not just wetware, hardware and software but priceless advice and help with experiments, projects and installations.

What is the innovation

Low cost and easy to use interface with living creatures. PhySense transforms the “lab based” techniques of living sensors into `everyday’ use in a cost effective and user friendly format by designing, manufacturing and supplying biosensors to research centres, universities, schools and citizen scientists. In addition to making the technology accessible to both the general public and non-specialists this transformative project establishes an online portal capable of collecting and sharing millions of measurements.

Out of the lab. Into the market

People will share their findings with others to advance the frontiers of knowledge for the greater good of society. We have made this innovation open source to share with everyone. Our approach is implemented through a parallel understanding of market and technology trends connected with the dynamics of the relevant value chains. We will supply the pre-made units for those who do not want to assemble themselves.

Benefits of participation in the Framework Programme

It is been a fantastic opportunity to engage with world-leading experts in innovations, market engagement, Citizen Science and enablers. Participation is helping us to deliver our ground breaking discoveries and designs to a wide range of communities in sciences and engineering, and achieve high-impact public outreach via engagements with artists, architects and media experts.

This innovation was funded via H2020 project PhySense.
