Towards and adjusted water pricing schemes and economic models

Technology related to water economics (tariffs adjustment tools, risk-investment tools, etc) had made water business more cost-effective (e.g introduction of green technology). However, there exists the challenge of incorporating in this business models industry symbiosis technology, water-agricultural management techniques, water-energy-food nexus impacts, etc. In your opinion, what kind of water infrastructure investment from technological point of view are prone to move water economics towards Green Growth and Green Resilience strategies at long term? How do you think technologies like block chain could influence the water market?

The role of Smart Water in the Circular Economy

Water domain has strong connections with the smart cities with industry, agriculture and household level. Smart digital approaches (e.g. optimization in irrigation, models for nutrient recovery, participatory tools for the adoption and investment in nature-based solutions, tools for managing water recycling in industries, etc.) are being adopted and researched towards water circularity, nexus and symbiosis. Towards enlarging the value of water, what kind of ICT investment should we consider?

Adoption of innovative water market solutions within the water infrastructure

ICT Water Market is in constant growth. However, water infrastructure is in constant obsolescence and technological barriers difficulty their adoption (e.g. reluctance of water managers to adopt newer technology). Do you think ICT Water market will increase with innovative solutions (big data, newer decision support systems, early warning systems)?
