Hybrids nanomaterials in which there exists the synergy and coupling between structure, optics, thermal, magnetism, rheology, catalysis, etc... will allow the overcoming the threshold of the properties of the "bulk" materials and the development of multifunctional and active materials and devices. Considers also magneto-plasmonics hybrid nanostructures in this family. The task proposed are key issues for next tens years.

This a wide ranging call for the exploitation of spintronics and nano magnetism. I fully support this.

A new world of novel magnetic properties and functionalities is opened up by going away from the unperturbed bulk and towards confined structures, interfaces, composites and local/topological inhomogeneities. This project defines key routes for promoting this philosophy towards pratical devices involving the fundamental question of energy efficiency. It deserves strongest support!

The proposed topic seems to me quite relevant for different applications and technologies involving advanced concepts on magnetism and novel magnetic materials. That would certainly strengthen current activities in Europe while open new opportunities from both fundamental and applied views. Personally, and in my group, most exciting points are related to the development of issues labelled c) and e) on new concepts of 3D magnetic hierarchies and the tools for characterising magnetic systems at the single particle level.

The proposal encompasses several very timely applications of magnetic materials which are relevant in different sectors. In particular, the development of novel techniques to investigate the spin dynamics at the nanoscopic level is of utmost importance to characterize the performance of the logic units at the nanoscopic level. I strongly support it.

Fully support the idea. The recent discoveries made by macro-and micro-spin tropics have opened the way to combine this field with nanothecnologies.

This is a key research topic for the advancement of information and communication technologies and for health and environmental applications.

For c) I would like to mention that there are recent implementations of 3d magnetic systems using nanowires showing promise and of course ultimate storage density for (Domain Wall or Skyrmion) racetracks.

Magnetic nanohybrids are a very interesting topic with enormous potential. Pushing novel, unconventional approaches to spintronic devices, such as "antiferromagnetic spintronics" or "insulator spintronics", will be key to keep a competitive edge in Europe in my view.

Magnetic nanohybrid systems shed new light on molecular spintrionics and have high potential for applications in spintronics and possible quantum information technology. Stenghening European research activity in this field is an excellent idea.

I think this is definitely necessary. With the progress in magnetic switching it becomes more and more plausible that spintronics may show up as post CMOS. Especially hybrids may be very useful (spinterfaces is the topic to look for).
