Cities are significantly impacted by the environmental pressures on water resources, such as water scarcity, floods or contamination by pollutants. At the same time they can be at the forefront of innovation and provide security and quality of life to their citizens. During the session, the European Commission will outline the EU Water Policy and the cities will be asked to highlight their challenges, demonstrate possible solutions, and enter into a dialogue with the European Commission. More information available on EU Green week website.
