Wastes 2017 will be a joint organization of the Centre for Waste Valorisation and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. It will bring together experts from the Waste Management and Recycling sectors from around the world, offering state of the art knowledge and sharing experiences. Discussions regarding the balance between economic, environmental and social outcomes, focused specially on the necessary transition from a linear to a circular economy, its opportunities, challenges and constraints, will be carefully addressed. The development of innovative techniques, tools and strategies to improve corporate environmental performance, the understanding of how industry activities impact on the environment and the options analysis for its improvement are also key objectives for this event.
