Household out-of-pocket payment’ means a direct payment for healthcare goods and services from the household primary income or savings, where the payment is made by the user at the time of the purchase of goods or the use of the services. Data are collected according to Regulation (EU) No 359/2015 as regards statistics on healthcare expenditure and financing (System of Health Accounts 2011 manual).
