The 16th Rural Networks Steering Group Meeting took place virtually on 19 October 2021 to update SG members on EU Policy Initiatives and updates on future networking activities.

Participants exchanged on the latest developments on the CAP Reform and other relevant EU Policy initiatives, including the Long Term Vision for Rural Areas.

This is the highlights report of the 20th National Rural Networks Meeting held on 15 June 2021.

The meeting focussed on recent actions on the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas consultation process, reflecting on NRN activities during Rural Vision Week, and NRN role in supporting communication and stakeholder involvement around the Vision.

The highlights report of the 4th Meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group on European Green Deal and rural areas focuses on local and territorial environment and climate initiatives in promoting the green transition. These play an important role in generating collective action and local ownership, and provide an effective way to promote the uptake of environmental schemes among rural actors.

The RIA 2021 were the third edition of the ENRD's EU-wide rural development good practice competition. This edition focused on EAFRD-funded initiatives that could inspire rural areas' future development path in the Long‑Term Vision for Rural Areas

This edition focuses on Rural Vision Week, a five-day interactive online conference focused on involving stakeholders with preparations for a long-term vision for the future of EU rural areas.

Rural development stakeholders from across Europe look at the future of their territories and of rural Europe, sharing their views on the role of rural youth, the importance of broadband development and the use of LEADER to support cultural projects.

This is the highlights report of the 4th meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group on the Long Term Rural Vision. Participants took stock of the main messages coming out of the ENRDs’ Rural Vision Week and listened to inspiring experiences of developing integrated national strategies for rural development. They also discussed how stakeholders can cooperate at local level to make the future Vision become a reality and how networks can best provide support.

The Common Network Statistics (CNS) provides an insight into the quantitative outputs of NRNs in Y7 (2020 data), highlighting the development achieved by the NRNs.
