The first meeting (9 October 2018 – Brussels, Belgium) of the newly launched ENRD Thematic Group (TG) on ‘Mainstreaming the Bioeconomy’ identified and agreed priorities, methodologies and communication tools to guide the work of the TG until June 2019.
A diverse group of stakeholders highlighted the need for synergies between policy instruments at various levels, the importance of developing territorial and local approaches, and attracting new investments. Better communication with and engagement of additional stakeholder groups were recommended.
