This factsheet focuses on the evaluation of water abstraction conducted in the region of Thessaly. This assessment was completed in roughly one month and the results were used to report on this indicator in the AIR 2019 together with the results from a larger macro level assessment.

This report summarises the major outcomes of the Good Practice Workshop, 'How to demonstrate RDP achievements and impacts: lessons learned from the evaluations reported in the AIRs 2019', which was hosted by the European Evaluation Helpdesk for Rural Development. 

The twelfth Good Practice Workshop 'How to demonstrate RDP achievements and impacts: lessons learned from the evaluations reported in the AIRs 2019' took place in Seville on 11-12 December 2019.The overarching aim of this Good Practice Workshop was to examine the experiences from the evaluations reported in the AIR 2019 and draw lessons learned for the ex post. 

This report describes the progress in implementing the Evaluation Plans (EP) and is based on the screening of Chapter 2 of the Annual Implementation Reports (AIRs) submitted in 2019.

This report is a synthesis of the evaluation components included in Chapter 7 of the enhanced AIRs 2019 to provide an overview of the achievements of the EU’s rural development policy.

Tool 3.2 – Working steps for the appraisal of the intervention strategy of the CAP Strategic Plan: hypothetical examples serve to illustrate possible working steps of an ex ante evaluator in appraising the intervention strategy, targets and milestones of the CAP Strategic Plan.

The eleventh Good Practice Workshop 'Appraising Intervention Strategies Under the CAP: Experiences and Outlook' took place in Rome on 15-16 October 2019.The overarching aim of this Good Practice Workshop is to raise awareness for evidence-based policy making by showing practical examples of how to approach and use the ex ante evaluation. This workshop focuses on the appraisal of the intervention strategy and target setting 

Tool 3.4 – Working steps for supporting the appraisal of the rationale for the use of financial instruments: proposes examples of working steps showing how the ex-ante evaluator can assess the rationale for the use of financial instruments financed by the EAFRD in the CAP Strategic Plan. 

Tool 3.3 – Appraisal of quantified target values and milestones: provides evaluators with a structured approach for assessing the quality of the calculation of target values and milestones taking into account various critical factors.
