MISSCEEC II

Mutual Information System on Social Protection in the Central and Eastern European Countries Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia

Situation at 1 January 2002

The MISSCEEC II project concerns the legislation on social protection in 10 Central and Eastern European countries which are all candidates for membership of the European Union, namely Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. It aims at a struc- tural presentation of their social security systems, including the systems for self- employed, in such a way that they can be compared with each other and with the systems of the EU Member States and be integrated easily into the MISSOC Tables. The concept and structure of the MISSCEEC II tables are based on the approach used in the MISSOC 1 comparative tables of January 1, 2001
