Massimiliano Mascherini is Head of Social Policies Unit at Eurofound. He leads the strategic area of intervention on Monitoring Convergence in the European Union.
He recently carried out several studies in the field of youth studies and labour market participation of women. His research interests include labour market research, social inclusion, social capital, civic participation and active citizenship.
He was Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He was Visiting Fellow at the University of Sydney (Australia) and at Aalborg University (Denmark). Mascherini received his Ph.D. in Applied Statistics at the University of Florence.
