Practical
The Conference shall take place at the Charlemagne Conference Centre (Rue de la Loi 170, 1040 Etterbeek, Belgium - plan your visit on the Commission’s website).
Upon arrival, please wear your mask before stepping indoors. The Commission shall restrict access to the building to registered participants who:
- Wear a face mask indoors;

Present a certificate of full vaccination completed no later than 31 October, or of a negative PCR test, or of recovery. The rules are detailed by Commission Decision C(2021) 6669 final. If you have doubts as to whether you fulfil the requirements to access the building, please contact us.
Please show your passport or ID card, along with the confirmation email received from the registration service (either printed or in digital format), the proof of full vaccination/negative PCR test/recovery to the security guard stationed at the entrance, and go to the registration desk.
You shall be asked to confirm your registration details and given a badge that should be displayed while at Commission premises.
You shall be asked to go through a security scanner (comprised of both a metal detector and a x-ray conveyor belt) before being able to access the Conference Centre.
Participating at the Conference from your computer has exclusive advantages including priority when asking questions at the end of each session and exclusive access to the ‘Meet the Authors’ sessions.
If you decide to participate via WebEx, please click the link next to the corresponding room/on the Meet the Authors email invitation (please refer to the instructions on how to operate WebEx or write to us in case you encounter difficulties).
After selecting to either join using the WebEx app or your browser, you shall enter the meeting.
Your microphone shall remain muted except when you are invited to participate.
In case you want to ask a question, please write it in the chat the broad topic of your question (please refer to the instructions on how to use the chat functionality on WebEx). You may also write to the host of the session privately on chat.
The session host shall turn on your microphone for the duration of your intervention (we kindly ask you to be as concise as possible to give opportunity to other participants) and we invite you to turn on your camera.
After you finish your intervention, your microphone shall be muted.
The Conference shall be recorded. Please consult the privacy statement when registering.
