Tina Golob Šušteršič recieved her Bachelor's Degree at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, where she also worked as a teaching assistant prior to attaining her PhD in international economics. After a couple of years in the private sector she continued her professional career at the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development where she has further pursued her interests in firm-level research and international economics. While being a part of the team producing macroeconomic forcasts for Slovenia, her fields of interest also encompass studying GVCs, where she has done a broad analysis on Slovenia's embeddedness in GVCs using WIOD world input-output database.
The pandemic has brought many challenges and understanding them well enables us to appropriately address them.
