Liza Archanskaia

Liza is French and works as an Economic Analyst at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. She holds a PhD in Economics from SciencesPo Paris, with a specialisation in International Trade.

She previously worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at KU Leuven in Belgium. The analytical work of the team at DG ECFIN to which Liza contributes centres on the identification of structural policies at the EU and national level that contribute to foster growth, to enhance its inclusiveness, and to reduce the cost of adjustment to structural change.

In the recent period, the team has focussed on quantifying the impact of the COVID shock on the European non-financial corporate sector and evaluating the effectiveness of public support measures.

This year’s ARC provides a great opportunity to receive comments on our analytical work and to meet other researchers working on this topic.
