Version 2.0 of the Architecture and Reference Framework now available

Version 2.0 of the Architecture and Reference Framework (ARF) is now available on Github. The document sets out the common architecture of the EU Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem by specifying the standards, protocols and formats of information exchanges between issuers, wallets, and service providers.

What has changed?

Version 2.0 contains various changes, following on from the many updates over the last few months. These updates to the ARF include:

  • Digital Credential APIs
  • Pseudonyms, including user authentication mechanism
  • PID rulebook
  • Relying Party Authentication
