Specifications: eDelivery AS4 & SMP Profiles

• The disposition of public review comments for the comments received during the first public consultation and the updated (AS4 2.0, SMP 2.0) and the new (BDXL 2.0, ebCore Party Id 2.0) draft specifications published:
  • eDelivery AS4 - 2.0 (2024 PR draft)
  • eDelivery SMP - 2.0 (2024 PR draft)
  • eDelivery BDXL - 2.0 (2024 PR draft)
  • eDelivery ebCore Party Id 2.0 (2024 PR draft)
• The public consultation on the new drafts ended on 8 April: feedback received from one person / organisation.
• To test the new specifications, two Interoperability Events are being prepared for 11 Jun 2024 and 25 Jun 2024.

Software product: Domibus

• Domibus 5.0.8 bug fix released on the 18 Mar 2024 
• Domibus 5.1.3 bug fix released on the 05 Apr 2024, containing a fix for multitenancy related issue and several library upgrades
• Domibus 5.1.4 bug fix release, including the fixes implemented in 5.0.8, is planned for the 08 May 2024 
• Domibus 5.2 RC

  • Limited progress due to the effort required for several bug fix releases and the extensive maintenance and support workload. Leaving limited capacity for development tasks, as highlighted in the issue EDELIVERY-11247. Due to the prolonged onset of this dynamic, the eDelivery roadmap had to be revisited:

    • Domibus 5.2 RC - Q4 2024 | Domibus 5.2 FR – Q4 2024

    • Domibus 6.0 RC – Q3 2025 | Domibus 6.0 FR – Q4 2025

• Domibus new documentation framework
  • The work in defining and implementing the new Domibus documentation framework and supporting processes is concluded. Its go-live has been postponed several times with delays in the Domibus 5.2 release, release which was slated to premiere the new format. It was decided that the new framework will be implemented in the Domibus 5.0.8 release, once the adjustments in Domibus release page are agreed upon and implemented.

Software product: DomiSMP

• DomiSMP 5.1 RC development activities are ongoing.

Software product: DomiSML

• DomiSML 4.3 Vulnerability Assessment Report received and analyzed. No major issues detected. Feedback provided to the security team. New version of the report is expected.

Software product: eDelivery Conformance Testing Platform / Service: Conformance Testing Service

• eDelivery AS4 1.15 profile enhancements conformance testing implementation:
  • Implementation of test cases for the Pull profile enhancement concluded. Deployment in production to be planned
  • Implementation of test cases for the Dynamic Sender profile enhancement ongoing
• Ongoing support being provided to the SW providers testing their solutions

Software product: Docker images

• Domibus 5.0.8 in a Tomcat + MySQL configuration Docker images for published on the 19 Mar 2024 (OOTS).

• A renewed collaboration was established with OpenPeppol. eDelivery is now part of the Peppol Critical Infrastructure Working Group, under the framework of which it will participate in a pilot for SML federation, exploring technical options for Peppol to be able to host SML records also outside the eDelivery SML Service.

Incident Management

SMT - Workload Details

The volume of opened and handled SMT tickets decreased slightly in December 2023, as a result of the end-of-the-year break. There were still also a lot of questions from users on Domibus migration issues (migration scripts), docker usage, conformance tests issues (Opentext), etc.

Email Interaction

For eDelivery, received emails were related to:

• Requests for AS4 connectivity test with Everysite LTD, Eufex Deutschand GmbH, Sanmarco Informatica S.P.
• eDelivery conformance tests- several questions from Opentext that is running the tests with the new GITB platform
• SGTR and PKI services – SOD finalised
• Questions from users: Domibus (question on Kerberos DES and RC4, certificate configuration, Domibus migration from 4.2.6 to 5.0.6 (EUCEG), Domibus 5.1.2 and dynamic discovery, integration with AWS secrets manage, Docker), SML/SMP (SMP/SMK certificate update/renewal, DomiSMP 5.0.1 installation issues), updated list of Peppol participants sent to Peppol, PKI certificates (OOTS, UDB, EUDAMED, CixP), TAPAS (ICS2 connectivity test assistance requests (re-directed to the National service desks), onboarding request forwarded to National Helpdesk), question on TLS certificate redirected to ITSM3OPS)
• There was a total of 641 emails in the FMB. We have removed 64 emails for SML Inconsistency, 42 alerts, 34 xmatters and 11 emails from PKI CommisSign from the count, which makes a total of 490 received mails for the reporting month.

PKI

In December 2023, 10 certificates were issued:1 SGTR, 1 EUDAMED, 1 UDB, 7 OOTS.

The achieved availability for SML1 was within the target for the month of December.
