January 2020 | 2019 eInvoicing Closing report 

The eInvoicing Directive adoption, the implementation of the standard and the harmonization of the work done under these thematics were the priorities for 2019 at the central and sub-central levels.

The policy and business owner, DG GROW and the CEF eInvoicing team actioned list of initiatives described in the below report. From a questionnaire to open events and workshops dedicated to experts, the goals were to reach the largest audience possible and provide adapted support to different types of eInvoicing actors.

18 April 2019

This deadline could be extended to 18 April 2020 for the sub-central contracting authorities of those Member States & additional European Economic Area (EEA) having requested an official extension.

Sub-central authorities' implementation of the obligations of Directive 2014/55/EU
This is an additional optional extension for implementation by sub-central authorities and entities. It only applied in the Members States & additional EEA who had adopted this option in their national transposition. The date is defined by article 11 of the Directive as 12 months after the general deadline, which is then 30 months after the publication of the reference by OJEU
