About the service

The Notification tool provides a user-friendly browsing of some of the eIDAS lists, facilitating their notification to the European Commission and automating their publication.

Scope

The tool currenty includes the browsing, notification and publication of the following lists:

• The list of eIDAS Supervisory Bodies;
• The list of eIDAS Conformity Assessment Bodies and the National Accreditation Bodies that accredited them;
• The list of eIDAS Qualified electronic Signature Creation Devices and Qualified electronic Seal Creation Device;
• The list of Secure electronic Signature Creation Devices (benefiting from the transitional measure set in Article 51(1) of the eIDAS Regulation)
• Bodies designated, under Article 30(2) and 39(2) of eIDAS, for the certification of conformity of Qualified electronic Signature/Seal Creation Devices, and Bodies designated, under Article 3(4) of Directive 1999/93/EC having determined the conformity of aforementioned Secure Signature Creation Devices;
• The list of Article 30.3(b) and 39.2 alternative processes.

Who can use the service?

The DEP Digital Europe eSignature Notification tool service is intended for the following types of users:

• Any user (general public), to browse the eIDAS lists;
• Representative of Member States mandated to notify the aforementioned eIDAS lists;
• The European Commission, to publish the lists notified by the Member States.

Benefits of using the service

• Provide the Member States notifiers the proper structure for the information they want to notify;
• Provide a higher level of assurance regarding the identity of the notifier;
• Provide a centralized place to the European Commission to manage the received notifications;
• Display to the public the notified information via an easy-accessible location, in a user-friendly way, and with search functions.
