Norway website launch

Launch of the Norwegian website for the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012.

In order to promote the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012 and by disseminating information about the campaign Norway has now launched its national website for the Year. The goal is to raise awareness in society about active ageing, identify and demonstrate good practices and challenge decision makers at all levels to promote active ageing. The Centre for Senior Policy (SSP) has been designated the national coordinator for the campaign. The national coordinator along with the website aim to inspire organisations and businesses to put the labour force, community participation and health for the elderly on the agenda.

A kick-off conference for the Year and presentation of a research-report on future scenarios in senior policy will take place in Norway on January 31th.  More information can be obtained from the following link: https://www.seniorpolitikk.no/informasjon/kalender/?date=2012-01-31&month=01.
