The conference “Technology and digitalisation in social care: The impact on Education, Employment and Independent Living” will be held in Barcelona, Spain on 4th-5th October 2018.

The conference aims to explore how technology and digital solutions impact the social care sector and will give participants an insight into the available promising practices.

By bringing together key stakeholders including service providers for persons with disabilities, technology business providers, public authorities and disabled persons’ organisations the conference will also facilitate discussions on the key factors in the design and adoption of person-centred technology products and services.

In addition, the conference will provide participants with an understanding of the main barriers and obstacles that are needed to be overcome for a full deployment of technology in care and support services, as well as an overview of legal and ethical frameworks that facilitate the use of person-centred technology in the sector.
