The Speech Repository 2.0 celebrates its first birthday!

It’s already been a year since we launched the new version of the Speech Repository. We would like to thank our partner universities for their input and comments. As a small reminder let us give you some facts about our e-learning tool. Please don’t forget that besides the public part there is My Speech Repository, which has been specifically created for our partner universities:

  • My Speech Repository is currently being used by 98 universities and international institutions. The number of registered users increases every day!
  • At present it contains over 3200 speeches in 29 languages. All speeches are classified according to 5 levels corresponding to different stages of learning (basic, beginner, intermediate, advanced/test-type and very advanced)
  • Additionally, My Speech Repository offers:
    • The possibility to interact with other My Speech Repository users;
    • SCICrec – an easy-to-use recording tool to be installed on your computer. With SCICrec you can record your interpretation of a speech, play it back and upload it to the My Speech Repository website in order to share it with your fellow students/trainers and ask for their feedback;
    • The possibility to download and use the speeches offline;
    • Full transcriptions of numerous speeches

Once on the Speech Repository website, you will find the link to access My Speech Repository under the About this project section on the right side of the screen.

It is easy to register: you just create an ECAS account and ask your university or institution to approve your access.  The responsible delegate will grant you access. Delegates should therefore check their account on a regular basis in order to grant new users access.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the mail address mentioned below.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our users all the best for the New Year 2016 and last but not least … some fruitful training with My Speech Repository!
