As Commissioner for Consumers, I want to make each and every European citizen aware of their rights so that they can actively use them. I want consumers to have access to the best that the market has to offer, in terms of price, choice, quality and availability. I also work to ensure the highest possible level of protection for EU citizens against dangerous goods.

In short, I seek to maximise consumer power – and to make sure consumer affairs are at the heart of all EU policies.
