Inaugural mass of Pope Francis and ceremony of salutation in Rome
Paying tribute to the newly elected Pope and Head of the Vatican State, His Holiness Francis, European Commission President Barroso participated in the inaugural mass of Pope Francis in Rome – alongside with the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. The three Presidents participated afterwards in the Ceremony of Salutation for Heads of State.
