Outermost regions: a new edition of TAIEX-REGIO peer-to-peer exchanges

On 23 May, a webinar was dedicated to the “Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) - New opportunities for 2021-27 European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programs of outermost regions”. This new series of peer-to-peer (P2P) events will help outermost regions to share their expertise in implementing the ERDF.

At a first stage, these P2P events take place in a virtual format, facilitating region-to-region discussions among the 9 outermost regions (Azores, Canary Islands, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Madeira, Martinique, Mayotte, La Réunion and Saint-Martin) of France, Portugal and Spain.

It is a needs-based approach, focusing on enhancing skills and expertise on how to best implement the ERDF, based on mutual learning. Through developing relations and trust, managing authorities can share good practice, explore common challenges and co-create possible solutions.

The next P2P webinar will be organised in September/October 2024.

This series of events is a good example of the REGIO P2P + scheme Inforegio - REGIO Peer2Peer + that also allows for study visits or exchanges of experts.
