C4T Knowledge Repository
Welcome to the C4T Knowledge Repository!
The C4T Knowledge Repository serves as a hub for the resources created within the C4T Community of Practice.
Available documents are the C4T Knowledge Pieces created by the Academic Sounding Board, as well as factsheets from C4T Groundwork technical assistance beneficiaries and contributions from the C4T Working Groups on Energy, Climate Change and Environment.
As a living repository, we continually update and expand our collection with new materials, insights, and resources.
Join us in exploring the various materials created by the C4T community and stay informed about the latest developments in sustainability transitions.
C4T Knowledge Pieces
The C4T Knowledge Pieces provide useful knowledge to managing authorities and practitioners of Cohesion Policy on the way in which Cohesion Policy PO2 investments can be implemented to deploy sustainability transitions on the ground. The C4T Knowledge Pieces are authored by the 11 members of the Academic Sounding Board (ASB) combining their expertise from various thematic fields.
The C4T Knowledge Pieces cover key issues in the areas of environment, climate, and energy, and have been developed on the basis of needs raised by C4T Working Group members and DG REGIO.
The C4T Knowledge Pieces discuss how Cohesion Policy can serve as an enabler for sustainability transitions and explore the various facets from needs and challenges to solutions.
The following Knowledge Pieces have been developed and are available for download:
Implementing renewable energy investments with Cohesion Policy to enable sustainability transitions
This Knowledge Piece focuses on how to deploy renewable energies within a sustainability transitions process with Cohesion Policy.
Nature-based solutions (NBS) for sustainable climate adaptation within Cohesion Policy
This Knowledge Piece gathers the essential knowledge needed to work with NBS in climate adaptation to different climate risks, taking sustainability transitions as a framework concept for it.
Bottlenecks and good practices of DNSH implementation in Cohesion Policy: a comparison between rural and urban areas
This Knowledge Piece focuses on specific bottlenecks in implementing the DNSH principle applied to ECP programmes in urban and rural areas. This contribution also analyses how the DNSH principle is evaluated in a selection of EU Member States and provides solutions and recommendations on how this principle can be evaluated more effectively.

C4T GROUNDWORK Factsheets and Deliverables
C4T GROUNDWORK supports implementation of sustainability transitions. The support delivered varies from setting up one-stop-shops, identification of project financing, capacity building to mobilizing stakeholders and collecting good practices.
Each technical assistance project (TA) has some key deliverables, and once a TA is finished, a factsheet summarising the method of delivery and findings is produced. These are collected here to download.

C4T Compendium of good practices
The C4T Working Groups on Climate Change, Environment, and Energy bring together managing authorities, as well as other public authorities and relevant stakeholders to discuss the challenges and good practices of implementing European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund (CF) investments focused on sustainability transitions.
As a result of their discussions on thematic and cross-cutting challenges and sharing experiences, good practices and solutions, the Working Group members have developed a Compendium of good practices.
This resource lays out some of the biggest challenges and bottlenecks faced in the implementation of these funds by member of the Working Groups and showcases some good practices in implementing solutions across Europe.
