Europe in My Region - Region of Norte

As part of “Europe in my region”, regional communication campaigns are deployed around familiar places, and highlight EU-enabled ideas and initiatives that make a difference at the local level. These regional campaigns with an ultra-local flavour are created in partnership with the Regions.

In the region of Norte, from 10 November until 10 December 2022, these emblematic places are promoted:

  • The Bolhão Market in Porto
  • The Pinhais & Cia canning factory and live museum in Matosinhos

Flavour is Our Norte Our Norte is in the flavours that make us who we are, honoring the past, without taking our eyes off the future. Thanks to the joint efforts of the region Norte and the European Union, the Bolhão Market and the Pinhais Cannery, two symbols of our territory, have been transformed in a significant way. Now, these places are more modern and welcoming while maintaining their authenticity. With this new life, they will be able to continue to bring northern flavours and traditions to the next generations.
