Europe in My Region - Region of Eastern Finland

As part of “Europe in my region”, regional communication campaigns are deployed around familiar places, and highlight EU-enabled ideas and initiatives that make a difference at the local level. These regional campaigns with an ultra-local flavour are created in partnership with the Regions.

In Eastern Finland, from 25 August until 25 September 2022, these emblematic initiatives and places are promoted:

• The city bikes in Kuopio, North Savonia
• The Saimaa nature area in South Savonia
• The hiking and biking trails in North Karelia

Whether you enjoy hiking, brisk jogging or a leisurely stroll with a basket of mushrooms, our home region now offers more opportunities than ever before. North Savonia, South Savonia and North Karelia promote sustainable, responsible mobility with the support of the European Union. Let us enjoy and the environment thanks us!
