Europe in My Region - Saxony

As part of “Europe in my region”, regional communication campaigns are deployed around familiar places, and highlight EU-enabled ideas and initiatives that make a difference at the local level. These regional campaigns with an ultra-local flavour are created in partnership with the Regions.

In Saxony, from the 12th of June until the 12th of July 2023, this emblematic place is highlighted:

• Regeneration of the “Brautwiesenbogen” area in Görlitz (creation and renovation of green spaces, recreation areas, cycle paths, public transport, school, sustainable installations)

Here we come together.

New gathering places are emerging in our region.

The former freight station in Görlitz has been revitalised: the Brautwiesenbogen invites young and old to experience things together.

Whether playing in the park or gardening in the community garden – here people find space for cohesion.

The cycle paths and green leisure spaces connect the western inner city and breathe new life into the area. This was made possible with the support of the European Union and Saxony.
