More and more countries are promoting the development of Computational Thinking (CT) skills by introducing Computer Science (CS) into school curricula. However, questions remain regarding its implementation, specifically what CS concepts should be taught, when, and how. This report updates and extends findings from the 2016 EC Computational Thinking Study, providing an updated overview based on a wide range of evidence capturing the significant developments in the integration of Computational CT skills in compulsory education in 22 EU Member States and 8 non-EU countries between 2016 and 2021.
