The IP Helpdesk family will participate in EU Industry Days and EU Industry Week 2022: Join us for Europeโs annual flagship events in February Between 8 and 11 February 2022, the EU Industry Days will bring together government actors, industry players and academia to discuss industry challenges and co-develop opportunities and policy responses in an inclusive dialogue. Since 2017, the EU Industry Days have become the flagship EU event on industrial policy and gather thousands of participants each year. In addition a wide range of side-events are taking place across the EU and beyond as part of this yearโs EU Industry Week until the end of February 2022.
The Commission and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) launched the new EU SME Fund, which offers vouchers for EU-based SMEs to help them protect their intellectual property (IP) rights. This is the second EU SME Fund aiming at supporting SMEs in the COVID-19 recovery and green and digital transitions for the next three years (2022-2024).

On behalf of DG GROW, EISMEA has commissioned a study to investigate to what extent the legal protection of trade secrets can help creating a safe environment for the business-to-business data sharing. The information will help the European Commission to reflect on policy measures that intend to improve data sharing practices while protecting the economic interests of European firms. Please note: The questionnaire does not enquire into any specific trade secrets of your company or organisation. All responses will be treated confidentially and published only in aggregate anonymised form, in line with GDPR requirements. The study team hereby acts as data processor for the European Commission (who is the data controller). Deadline: 25 October 2021
