Bursaries 2024-25

DG Interpretation awarded 71 bursaries worth a total amount of €135 388.47  in the academic year 2024-2025. The awarded students are enrolled at 23 universities offering a master’s/post-graduate course in Conference Interpreting in 17 different countries.

This represents a considerable increase in comparison to last year: the number of bursaries has increased by 61% (44 bursaries awarded last year) and the total awarded amount has increased by 32% (€102 254.47  awarded last year).

We hope that this financial support will be helpful for the awarded students to train to the level required by our service. We invite trainers to remind the bursary recipients of their obligation to sit the accreditation test once they obtain their diploma. We wish them all the best for their training as conference interpreters.
