Reframing of cooperation with universities
|
Since June of last year, there has been an in-depth reflection within SCIC about our system of cooperation with universities. On the basis of statistics compiled and analysed and given the need to be more cost-effective, a reflection group including different parts of our service was called to think about refocussing and targeting better our different cooperation tools.

What's new in the Speech Repository?
|
On December the 3rd 2018, we held our annual Speech Repository Steering Committee meeting. The Committee is composed of several members of the European Institutions as well as of two university representatives. This time we had the pleasure of welcoming Ms Susan Folan from the National University of Ireland, Galway, from non-EMCI universities and Mr Dirk Reunbrouck, KU Leuven, Belgium for the EMCI consortium.

UNOG Seminar
|
In the framework of the cooperation between SCIC and UNOG (United Nations Office in Geneva), Fernando Leitão, from SCIC's Interpreter training support team and Garry Mullender, UNOG staff interpreter, conducted a day and a half seminar on Interpretation into the B language.
