Introducing our new Head of Sector for Succession Planning: Alicja Okoniewska

Welcome, Alicja!

date:  07/05/2024

Dear members of our interpreting community,

We are back with an update on our activities and changes in the Succession Planning and Training of Future Interpreters Sector, part of the Talent Development Unit.

After the retirement of Fernando Leitão (thank you, Fernando, for all those years!) I am delighted to announce that we have welcomed Alicja Okoniewska as our new Head of Sector. I am confident that she’ll be able to lead the fantastic team in the Sector towards new important goals, so that SCIC can count on a new generation of conference interpreters with the skills needed to work for the EU Institutions.

To this end, we work together with you, our partner universities, to support the training of professionals able to interpret in the diverse meetings we service.

I wish you all a successful end of the academic year

Manuela Brovarone

Acting Head of Unit SCIC.B.1 Talent Development
