Dear colleagues,

We are very pleased to launch the first edition of the SCIC Professional Support Newsletter for 2018.

The main objective of the first edition is to inform you about the summer course calendar which contains the courses and actions that we are planning for you this summer. We hope that announcing the courses already in April will be useful with a view of planning your summer.

You will find in this newsletter the list of courses with dates. Every course contains a link to EU Learn which allows you to immediately apply if you are interested in participating. As a novelty for this summer we are very happy to announce 4 NEW courses on German Law that will take place on 30 and 31 July and 03 and 04 September, at the very beginning of the Austrian Presidency. The deadline for applying for all courses is 23 May COB. We will organise all the courses that have a sufficient number of participants and you will receive the invitation in advance.

We also want to inform you that in our Professional Support page in SCICnet we have published the Methodology and the Orientations 2018 documents. They were adopted in the SCIC's senior management meeting in March. The Methodology defines the general principles on which the SCIC activities and actions in professional support are based. The Orientations 2018 lists the most important elements of professional support and the novelties for the period from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019.
