Adoption of the Single Market Programme
date: 02/07/2021
On 28 April 2021, the Commission welcomed the adoption of the first Single Market Programme by the co-legislators. With €4.2 billion over the period of 2021-2027, the programme provides an integrated package to support and strengthen the governance of the Single Market, including for financial services.
Food waste prevention will be addressed in the context of the work programme implementing the specific objective of contributing to a high level of health for humans, animals and plants along the food chain and in related areas. As part of this programme, grants will be proposed to help Member States and civil society actors take action to reduce food waste, including helping to improve food waste measurement in Member States.
Further information on the calls for proposals related to these grants will be made available in due course.
