In 2010, Austria's most-heard radio station, Ö3, in cooperation with the Red Cross, launched the initiative ‘Team Austria’ aiming to match surplus food with people in need.

‘Team Austria’ has been saving food for ten years now! Even in the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Team Austria ensured food distribution, so that people in distress can pick up the surplus food. A delivery of food packages has also been established.
