Looking back at 2020, despite its many challenges, Boroume (We Can) managed -among many other things- to

• save and redistribute almost 9 million portions of food, across the entire food supply chain (from 611 donor locations to 435 charitable organisations all over Greece)
• have the organisation’s actions supported by 363 volunteers
• save and redistribute almost 100 tonnes of fresh produce from 29 farmers' markets in Athens and Thessaloniki
• increase by 25% (compared to 2019) the ratio of offered food portions to the organisation’s total operational costs: 53 portions now account for €1 of operating costs
• carry out 56 educational activities attended by 1,198 students
• launch the latest and most ambitious initiative, the ‘Alliance for the reduction of food waste’ in Greece, which brings together key stakeholders towards coordinated action
• contribute to the formulation of a national public policy to effectively tackle food waste
