Final Conference of Wasteless Project

In 2016, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nebih) launched the Project Wasteless with the financial support of the European Union’s LIFE Programme*. The project has been declared the national level food waste prevention programme of Hungary.

Since the official project period has arrived to its end, the Wasteless team intends to share its most substantial achievements and future plans with actors and experts in the field of food loss and waste prevention and organize a meaningful​ discussion.

In this context, the Final Conference of Wasteless Project is going to be held on 25 February 2021, 13:00-16:00 CET. The keynote speech will be delivered by Ms Alexandra Nikolakopoulou, Head of Unit, Farm to Fork Strategy, Food sustainability, international relations, Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, European Commission.

* The LIFE programme is the European Union’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action created in 1992. The current funding period 2014-2020 has a budget of €3.4 billion.
