With the end-of-year and the holiday season fast approaching, members of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste continue to work towards the common goal of halving food waste by 2030. Initiatives carried out in November 2020 include calls-to-action for the UN Food Systems Summit 2021, development of educational materials, new tax incentives for food donation, and many more. The Council of the European Union also met in November 2020 to discuss progress made by the EU to tackle food loss and waste, based on the conclusions issued by the Council in 2016.
