The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre continues its online workshop series “Strengthening and connecting ecosystems of science for policy across Europe” in November 2021 with two workshops zooming in on two national ecosystems, namely those of Portugal and Lithuania. The workshops, numbers #12 and #13 of the series, aim at taking stock of what works (and not) in each country’s science for policy structures, processes, and networks and to collectively – with 60-90 participants in a highly interactive workshop – discuss what could be done to improve the ecosystems. The virtual workshop on “Science for policymaking in Portugal” takes place on 16 November 2021, 14h30-18h00 CET (register here). The online event on “Science for policymaking in Lithuania” is scheduled for 23 November 2021, 13h00-16h00 CET (register here). Please also consider joining the professional community of 600+ members following the workshop series, bringing together professionals working in public administrations, regional and local government, universities, public and private research institutes, scientific advisory councils, knowledge transfer and management units, and elsewhere near the science-policy interface. You can register here.
