Bringing business to the lab: science-business links in Cyprus
date: 21/03/2019
The PSF Specific Support to Cyprus, launched in March 2019, will work for the next 12 months on developing tailored advice and recommendations for Cyprus authorities to use as a basis for their action plans.
The focus of their work is to develop a policy framework and procedures that lift regulatory barriers and provide incentives to optimise the use of publicly funded research infrastructures by the business community.
The expert panel’s chair is Anne-Christine Ritschkoff, Senior Advisor on bioeconomy and circular economy in Finland’s VTT Technical Research Centre. She is joined by Yannis Ioannidis, president and general director of the ‘Athena’ Research and Innovation Centre in Greece, and Bruno Lindorfer, a lecturer in technology and innovation management at Johannes Kepler University, Austria. The panel is completed by Geert van der Veen, a Technopolis Group managing partner in the Amsterdam Office and board member with more than 25 years’ experience in science and innovation policy, and rapporteur Christopher Hull, who has high-level experience managing European networks of public and private organisations delivering research, technology and knowledge transfer services to firms.
