Growing Romania’s entrepreneurship scene into a start-up ecosystem

Trust, predictability and transparency are essential to a well-functioning innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Romania has a great opportunity to build on its strengths in innovation and entrepreneurship in order to develop such an ecosystem, according to a new PSF expert report.

date:  19/03/2018

The report “Start-ups, scale-ups and entrepreneurship in Romania” was launched in Bucharest on 31 January at a final event for Romanian innovation stakeholders under the PSF’s Specific Support action to Romania. The experts’ recommendations to invigorate the entrepreneurial ecosystem include the need for more predictability in the regulatory and business framework, backed up by better market conditions and access to finance and support schemes, as well as enhanced communication and coordination between all stakeholders and policy-makers.
