EC REPRESENTATIONS - EU launches Humanitarian Air Bridge operation to bring aid to Gaza

Following the recent terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel and the ensuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the EU is increasing its emergency assistance to the Palestinian people. The EU has launched a Humanitarian Air Bridge operation to transport life-saving supplies to Gaza.

The operation, via the European Humanitarian Response Capacity, will include flights to Egypt to bring aid to Gaza.

The EU has also tripled its humanitarian assistance to over €75 million, which will be channeled through selected EU humanitarian partners on the ground. EU humanitarian aid is provided through registered humanitarian organizations, and it adheres to humanitarian principles, including impartiality, neutrality, independence, and humanity.
