A new stamp celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ireland joining the European Communities was launched last week by the Minister of State with responsibility for European Affairs and Defence, Peter Burke TD, and European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness. The national stamp was issued by An Post on behalf of the State. An Post has also wrapped a number of postboxes around Dublin city centre with the EU flag and an image of the new stamp.
