The EU and NATO this week signed a new declaration that sets out a shared vision of how the two will act together against common threats. The EU and NATO will focus their cooperation on areas such as: military mobility; cyber security; hybrid threats; counter-terrorism; and women and security. Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said: "Europe has decided to take responsibility for its own security. NATO is a cornerstone of that strategy and we are working full steam to implement the 74 joint actions which go from countering hybrid threats to cyber security, defence and research. This partnership is a cornerstone of our overall security and defence strategy. But we know that we must also do more ourselves."
