Additional €30 million for the Rohingya crisis
On 23 October, the European Union co-hosted a 'Pledging Conference on the Rohingya Refugee Crisis' in Geneva. Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides announced an EU contribution of €30 million for the Rohingya communities in Bangladesh. This comes on top of more than €21 million in EU assistance already allocated to Rohingya and host communities in Bangladesh and Myanmar this year.
