The "White Dove" is a proposal for EU/UK recognition for Northern Ireland as a "European Place of Global Peace-Building by granting Northern Ireland "Honorary EU Membership". It will be launched on Friday evening 27 October at Europe House, 12-14 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2. The same occasion will see the launch of the book "Human Rights and the Northern Ireland Conflict: Law, Politics and Conflict (1921-2014). This interdisciplinary book explores the Northern Ireland conflict, from 1921-2014, utilising a human rights framework of analysis. Speakers at the event include: Matt McCarthy MEP, Paul Gillespie of the Irish Times and Professor Bryce Dickson of Queen's University.
