One out of three managers in the UK is a woman
Men generally occupy higher positions than women at work. In 2016 only 36% of managers in the UK were women (33% in the EU). The share of women in this position is below 50% in all EU member states. There figures are part of a new digital and interactive EU publication 'The life of women and men in Europe – a statistical portrait' (UK dataset) which was published earlier this week ahead of the annual European Statistics Day on 20 October.
